Write for us
Urban Weekend Guide welcomes original pitches from writers who can help readers spend city time with curiosity and a little less rush. Propose a clear idea, not a broad topic or a finished promotional message.
What we are looking for
Pitch practical, evergreen pieces about city walks, public places, arts and culture, food stops or weekend planning. Strong proposals have a distinct reader question, a useful central idea and advice that does not depend on private access, specialist credentials or a list of current deals.
Make the pitch specific
Tell us what the piece will help a reader decide, notice or plan. Include a working title, a short outline, the intended category and a few lines about your approach. Name any place-specific details or permissions the idea would require. Avoid unsupported claims and pitches built around a business endorsement.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of assignment or publication. Please do not send a complete article unless it has been requested.
A city is more than a list of places
Choose one thing to notice, leave space between stops and let the neighbourhood set the pace.
