Urban Weekend Guide

Editorial policy

Urban Weekend Guide aims to make its city-planning advice clear, useful and honest about its limits. We distinguish general ideas from claims that require local details, and we correct errors when they are brought to our attention.

Accuracy and clarity

We check names, descriptions and factual claims before publication and write so readers can tell the difference between a practical suggestion, an opinion and a verifiable detail. Where information may change or depends on a particular place, we say so rather than implying that one account applies everywhere.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made for the reader's benefit. A collaboration does not guarantee favourable coverage, and a partner cannot require us to present an opinion as fact. We do not claim first-hand visits or testing unless the article clearly supports that claim.

Corrections

If a published piece contains a material error, we review the information and update the text when warranted. Readers can send corrections through the Contact page; clear details about the passage and the correction help us assess it.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid or partner material is identified clearly so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where relevant, the image or its caption will say so. Illustrations are not evidence that a specific place or event was visited.

Our point of view

A city is more than a list of places

Choose one thing to notice, leave space between stops and let the neighbourhood set the pace.
